Enterprise Linux Archive

Pluriscale provides a complete Rocky Linux 9 Archive with every package ever built by the open-source community. This means that you can control your update cadence, leverage older packages in debugging or development scenarios, or maintain your legacy application environment with Rocky Linux.

The Rocky Linux 9 Archive is designed to be maintained by Pluriscale and synchronized to your instance of Pluriscale Registry either in a full archive mode or in a simplified pull-through-cache mode where only the packages you utilize are added to your instance.

With your instance of Pluriscale Registry you can implement an archive of any distribution of which you have access by simply synchronizing with the original source repository and selecting the number of package versions to maintain.

RPM Distroless Base Images

Inspired by the widely used Debian-based distroless images, Pluriscale maintains a set of RPM-based images using enterprise Linux distribution packages. Now you can leverage your enterprise-approved operating system as the base for highly secure base images that your applications can be built upon.

Not only do we provide base images, but we also provide built-in support for creating new base or application containers based on the repositories you have in your Pluriscale Registry instance. This means any enterprise Linux distribution you depend on, including your own custom repositories, can be used as source for RPM distroless images.

Why go to the trouble of getting approval for a base operating system to use in your environment and then run all your container-based workloads in an unapproved user space?

Hardened Upstream Application Images

Leveraging the premise of distroless containers, Pluriscale can provide up-to-date versions of many upstream open-source project containers, allowing your organization to reduce its dependency on infrequently maintained images or images which contain packages unrelated to the related application.

These common issues can cause churn in your organization & environment as you react to upstream vulnerabilities.

As with our distroless base images, we also provide the ability for your organization to build its own hardened upstream images which can improve your supply chain security and overall security posture.

Bootable Container Images

Bootable Containers provide a new way to create immutable operating system images for your cloud & on-premises deployments. Pluriscale maintains a set of Bootable Container base images for popular open-source enterprise Linux distributions. These images can be used to build subsequent images with the applications you require in your environment simply by invoking Docker or Podman builds.

Source for our Bootable Containers is derived from Pluriscale Registry RPM repositories allowing you to control every package, every version, and every image deployed to your infrastructure.

Each Bootable Container can be deployed to your systems with a disk-based installation or leverage Pluriscale Hatch, a custom network boot environment capable of deploying Bootable Containers directly into memory in seconds.

The result is an immutable operating system, based on open-source upstream technology, that can simplify your deployments & compliance initiatives in any environment.
